The AFI connector series is a solution for board-to-board RF
applications, where a bullet adapter is embedded into the
plug side of the PCB solution.
The AFI interface utilizes a proprietary configuration
that allows for "float" to compensate for axial and radial
misalignment due to packaging tolerances. This results in
a maximum misalignment allowed by the system of 0.030"
[0.8 mm] radial and 0.040" [1.0 mm] axial.
The interface is available in two configurations: 75 Ω with a
performance of DC to 3 GHz and 50 Ω with a performance
of DC to 6 GHz.
