6 ST/Industrial Sensing Solutions ASM330LHH Automotive 6-axis Inertial Module • AEC-Q100 qualified & Extended temperature range from -40°C to +105°C • Embedded compensation for high stability over temperature • Extended gyroscope range from ±125 to ±4000dps LEARN MOREu LSM6DSO iNEMO ® Inertial Modules • Power consumption: 0.55mA in combo high-performance mode • Always-on experience with low power consumption for both accelerometer and gyroscope • Smart FIFO up to 9kB LEARN MOREu Programmability and Embedded Features The latest sensors offer some important on-chip embed- ded features and functions, including intelligent capabil- ities such as Machine Learning Core (MLC), Finite State Machines (FSMs), step detector /step counter, tilt, signifi- cant motion detection, First-In-First-Out (FIFO), free-fall, and wake-up interrupt generators. The FSMs use the data from the integrated sensors em- bedded inside the module, namely accelerometer and gyroscope, and external sensors to connect to the sensor. As part of this embedded innovation, there is a dedicated integrated logic in the IMU, which the user can configure to generate interrupt signals activated by user-defined motion patterns. The performance improvement and current consumption reduction discussed above have helped meet the require- ments of emerging applications and enabled many new ones that were not possible a decade ago. Today, one can find MEMS sensors in most consumer electronic de- vices, Internet of Things (IoT), automotive, and health and medical applications (Figure 2).
