In 2017, he founded Northwest Engineering Solutions as a technology consultancy. He works with industry-leading software companies, electronics manufacturers, and OEMs bringing technological insights and foresight to their product development and digital marketing strategies. He is also a contributor to publications in the electronics industry and top-tier research journals. Greg is the Corporate Vice President for the 8-bit MCU business unit with more than 30 years of experience in the semiconductor industry. He joined Microchip Technology in 1995 and during this time Robinson has been accountable for several different functions within the business. He started his career as an Engineering Product/Test engineer then spent several years focusing on operations, automotive applications engineering, sales management, and marketing, giving him a unique perspective of the different functional areas within Microchip. Robinson holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Washington State University and an MBA in Technology Management. Mia-Lida Smit is a Senior Marketing Specialist in the 8-bit MCU business unit. In this role she identifies innovative ways to promote Microchip's 8-bit microcontrollers to existing and potential customers. This includes advising on product positioning and the most engaging ways to communicate value. Smit focuses on technical advances in the automotive, industrial, mining, farming, and consumer goods industries.
