AN OUTLOOK
ON FUTURE
TECHNOLOGIES
While an exciting and blossoming field, the IoT
certainly does not exist without its challenges.
One such challenge is the security of IoT devices
and data. As the IoT ecosystem expands into billions
of devices, the attack surface for potential security
breaches grows exponentially. The challenge of
ensuring security in the IoT is multifaceted, extending
from the device level to the data transmission and
storage stages.
Scalability is another concern. The complexity of
scaling from prototypes to fully fledged IoT systems
is a significant hurdle, especially for small and
medium enterprises lacking the requisite resources.
Data management issues, increased network loads,
Our primary challenge in Industrial IoT today
is ensuring the security and integrity of data
transmitted across connected devices. As we
look to the future, we anticipate advancements
in edge computing, AI, and specially blockchain
technologies to address these concerns. These
innovations will enhance data processing
capabilities at the device level, reducing latency
and bandwidth demands while also bolstering
security measures, thus paving the way for more
reliable and secure Industrial IoT solutions."
