Issa Malke is a LiDAR Calibration Engineer for Velodyne LiDAR, where he specializes in streamlining calibration
procedures for both rotational and solid-state LiDARs, including robotic arm control and calibration software
implementation and deployment. Previously, he worked for Occipital, where he led the hardware, firmware, and
production test stations design for the first hand-held mobile LiDAR scanner.
Giray Kömürcü, Chief Design Engineer at TUBITAK
Giray Komurcu was born in 1982 in Turkey. He graduated from Sabanci University Microelectronics Engineering
Department in 2005. He completed his PhD in the same department at Bogazici University in 2014. He is currently
working at TUBITAK-BILGEM-YITAL as Integrated Circuit Design Manager. His main expertise is in hardware security,
smart cards, LiDARs, and wearables.
