KEY POINTS
1. Creating SoCs saves board space, but these
components require more power rails to power
all the SoC functions. Each branch of the power
tree requires a conversion function and filtering.
2. In designing an SoC or a SiP, all the dies are
stored on an interposer, although the interposer
is only a small PCB. So, as more components
end up in the IC, it's just transferring the same
engineering challenges to the package level.
