Among all the sweeping innovations in aviation,
electrification is arguably the most significant.
The drive toward electrification is largely inspired by
the growing need for sustainability in our climate-
change-laden world. Governments and governing
bodies are starting to demand zero-emission aviation
in the foreseeable future. For example, Sweden aims
to achieve zero emissions for all domestic flights by
2035 and for all flights to and from the country by
2050. A shift toward electrified aviation helps meet
these goals by eliminating reliance on fossil fuels in
favor of electric propulsion. Additionally, in urban
