Conclusion
We cannot rely on our technology to remain in safe conditions. As
devices become more capable, our reliance on them and the need
to take them wherever we go will increase. Designers must take
the time to understand harsh environments and familiarize with
how to prepare devices for them.
Connectors play an enormous role in ensuring that equipment
is ready for harsh environments. They are one of the few
components frequently affixed to the outside of any device.
Therefore, the designer must ensure that their solution can deliver
performance and reliability, even when conditions are tough.
