C h a p t e r 2 Efficient power distribution and precise motor control are foundational to the performance of AMRs. Both areas have a direct impact on how AMRs function, from battery life to the smoothness and precision of their movements. Power Distribution Power distribution in an AMR involves managing the flow of energy from the battery to various subsystems such as the robot controller, sensors, communication interfaces, and motor control systems. Proper power distribution guarantees that each component receives the correct voltage and that the system operates efficiently without overloading the battery. Within this, the battery management system (BMS) is responsible for protecting the POWER AND MOTOR CONTROL Customers may not build all of an AMR's subsystems themselves. The system controller, motor control, and sensors could come from different manufacturers, each with its own power requirements. This makes custom power distribution boards essential for safely and cohesively integrating all components."
