Samtec Flyover systems offer a solution
to routing high-speed signals across
vast distances. The Flyover systems
eliminate the many challenges engineers
face when using high-speed signals,
and are primarily aimed at bridging mid-
board to front panels and mid-board to
backplanes.
The primary benefit to using Samtec
Flyover systems is that they allow
engineers to break constraints commonly
found in high-speed PCB tracing while
simultaneously allowing different boards
to be separated by greater distances. As
Samtec Flyover systems can maintain
signal integrity over greater distances,
engineers can eliminate the need for
CDRs and retimers while simultaneously
allowing the use of less expensive
PCBs with more common dielectrics.
Additionally, the use of Samtec Flyover
systems in favor of PCB traces helps to
eliminate the need for radio frequency
shielding cans and thin traces, which
further simplifies the overall design.
Improved thermal management is another
major advantage of Flyover systems. As
