For example, instead of requiring all high-speed components on a single PCB, a design can be broken down into modules that are seated on their own respective boards. This not only improves design layout and efficiency but also future-proofs designs: Individual modules can be disconnected and replaced, and many Flyover systems support up to 112 Gbps PAM4 data rates. Many current designs will not need to use such speeds, but even if designs change over time engineers should not need to replace Flyover systems for many years to come.
