Juan Ibarra, PhD

Juan Ibarra, PhD, A physicist by training, he has master’s degrees in Solid State Physics and Optics, a PhD degree in Optics, and was a postdoctoral fellow specializing on machine vision for food safety and processing. He is the author of over 30 peer reviewed articles. After many years in the Academia, he made the jump to the industry developing machine vision system for high-speed fruit sorting, initially working for large OEM companies, and later establishing a consulting firm, Nova Vision Solutions, for design and development of such systems. Currently, there are hundreds of machines of his design working in production world-wide.
