Components featuring silicon carbide (SiC) have made a significant impact on electrical systems for high-power applications.
To address this, Apex Microtechnology is offering two webinars titled Increasing Power Density for Motor Drives with Silicon Carbide Confirmation on October 29. Register here.
Broderick Krager, Apex Microtechnology applications engineer, will lead the webinar, which will examine how to maximize the benefits of SiC using hybrid technology to create switching amplifiers in high-power density packages.
Attendees are expected to learn three main takeaways from Krager's presentation:
- How SiC helps design engineers reduce system size.
- The benefits of using SiC power amplifiers over silicon-based power amplifiers.
- How to effectively drive SiC switching amplifiers in motion-control applications.
The webinars start at 12:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. (Central).
Krager has experience in SiC product development from simulation and modeling to validation, thermal characterization, and life testing. His responsibilities at Apex include driving new product development and guiding new product engineering to support market demands.
Krager has bachelor of science degrees in electrical and mechanical engineering from the University of Arizona. He began his Apex Microtechnology career in 2015 as an applications engineering intern and later became an applications engineer.
