A quick download, a free online tool, or a useful browser extension can make the job easier – but it may also introduce risks that aren’t immediately visible. Choosing approved tools helps keep your work, data, and devices secure. 

How everyday shortcuts introduce unexpected security & compliance risks : 
•    One tool, wider impact.  A compromised application, extension, or account connection may create a path beyond your device – putting company data, systems, and others at risk.

•    Freeware & unapproved software.  A simple download can introduce significant security, privacy, or compliance risks(s)  - Let Infosec help assess the risks and find a secure way to meet your needs.

•    Online file converters. Uploading documents to public PDF converters, compressors, or other online tools may expose company information to services we don’t control-creating security & compliance risks.
